Niki’s Maternity Portrait Session | Tai Wan

Filed under Personal • Written by admin @ 11:34 pm

We were so lucky to shoot the maternity portrait session for Niki during our trip to Taiwan. We shot this session only 2 weeks ahead of Niki’s due date. Thanks Niki & Daniel for their warmest invitation and accompanying us during the visit. Daniel is the best tour guide and we had a blast in the city of TaiNan, the food is just gorgeous and we don’t even want to come back. We had such a great time together. Niki & Daniel, we hope to see you soon, either in US, or Canada.

Dec 5th: Our house warming party

Filed under Personal • Written by admin @ 12:15 pm

We moved into our new house in August. We should call for a house warming party when we moved in, but we have been shooting weddings every Saturday and engagement session every Sunday until last week. So finally, we got a weekend for ourselves and we can call for a house warming party.

We have about 40 friends showed up at the party. Thanks a lot for coming. It’s cold outside, but you guys made our new home not just warm, but very hot. We had a great time together and I hope all of you had some fun. We still have 3 extra large pizza leftover, it’s going to be my lunch and dinner today. We were worried that we might be short of drink. But with everyone bringing a bottle, we now have over 20 bottles of wine leftover. So we have to call another party next year sometime. You guys need to come again to kill it. Julia & I were so excited the whole night. We were so happy to see all of you and get some updates. We are happy to see that those party and clubbing lovers switch to much healthier activities like hiking in the morning. I will try to join you guys next year, but it’s tough for me, tougher for Julia, who normally wakes up in the afternoon. The party is in a very short notice, so some of friends are out of town and cannot make it. We will try to call the party again and catch up with you. And thanks so much for sending those warm words to us and we can feel the love.

I am sure Yilun had a good time, his sexy look can tell:

We are so happy that many of our friends love the furnitures we bought and ask us where we got them. Many thanks to Pandora, one of our best friend. She is the best interior designer and she recommended “Drexel Heritage” to us. We became a huge fan of “Drexel Heritage” and got all the furniture from them. We like their design: Classic. And hopefully: Timeless.

For Dinnerware & Drinkware, we are big fan of “Crate&Barrel” and their sister store “CB2″. We like rich color:

Look at Wade and little Wade, do they exactly look like the same?

Again, sincere thanks for bringing us a fun night. Hope to see you at New Year’s time.

Oct 29th: Happy birthday to LingYi

Filed under Personal • Written by admin @ 2:18 pm

Finally, I came back the sunny California from the chilly New York city. I was in New York from last weekend to cover a wedding for Cynthia & John in central park. It was a great wedding, full of energy. And Cynthia & John definitely picked a great day. It’s the only sunny day during the 5 days, the day before and after the wedding, it was all raining. How lucky they were. I am working on the photos today and will post on blog soon. But today, it’s the birthday of LingYi, a super model in Taiwan, one of our best friend. Happy birthday LingYi, and congratulations on finally turning 21. We will see you soon in Taiwan, can’t wait for the trip.

Hawaii Day 3: Snorkeling at Captain Cook, Big Island

Thanks Er & Leo brought us to this amazing snorkeling site yesterday. We fell in love with it and decide to visit it again today. We waked up early (sorry, still 9AM, but early to us, we are lazy pigs). And it was not as windy as yesterday and it only took us 30 minutes to paddle in the kayak to the Monument. Maybe we improved our paddling skills, maybe we were more energetic today. When we got there, there are already tons of people in the water.

Hawaii Day 5: Road to Hana

“Road to Hana” has been listed as a “must see” for Maui. So we spent our second day in Maui for the Road to Hana. “Road to Hana” is about 60 miles driving along the east coast of Maui. Although it’s only 60 miles, it usually takes a whole day for tourists, as most of the interesting spots and sceneries are along the road. My impression about “Road to Hana” is Blue + Green. Blue is because of the ocean and rock view, and green is because of the tropical forest. We were not thrilled about “Road to Hana”, maybe we were from California, got use to the 17 mile coast drive and the Yosemite. But we still had a lot of fun for this driving trip.

And this is a typical view you will see along “Road to Hana”

There are many fruit stand along road to hana for tourists to get some refreshment. We love the fresh fruits there, especially Apple Banana and fresh coconut. Banana bred is also very good, especially with the pineapple and coconut topping.

And here is Julia’s favorite spot:

Everytime when my friends see our photos, they asked” who took these photos for you two?” I said:”We took it by ourselves”.How? It’s easy. Set up a tripod and hold a remote control, now you will find the secret if you watch this one closely:

And when we got back hotel, it’s just the amazing sunset time, again, a self-portrait session at Wailea Beach Marriott Resort:
