Review on me from Mai & Khanh

Here is the review that I received from Mai & Khanh.

“Danny: here’s our review for for you. Please feel free to upload on all of your sites.

September 29, 2008

We did our engagement photoshoot with Danny this month, and we were very impressed with his work.

His style and technique is very different from your regular wedding photographer.
We were extremely satisfied with the photos that came out. Danny is a professional and his work speaks for itself. Most of the raw images were flawless, and there was not a need for a lot of edits. We decided to go with Danny because we wanted something different from all the other couples.Everyone that has seen our photos has been impressed and wondered who our photographer was because the photos were beautiful.
We wanted modern, casual, and romantic and Danny definitely captured each frame in that way.

Thanks Mai for this great review on me and I really appreciate that you keep referring me to your best friends. They are all really nice people.

Engagement Photos for Mai & Khanh

Another engagement session photos come out:  Mai & Khanh

First meeting with Mai & Khanh is kind of interesting: we met at Mai’s office, a lawyor’s office. Haha, a little bit strange, but we had a nice chat. And I like this to-be couple. I don’t know how did Mai find me, nor did she remember. She found me late, only one month before her wedding day. But she Loves my photos, I do appreciate that. Although she has already had her wedding photographer booked long time ago, but she still decided to do an engagement photo session with me.

We planned this session together: from 5pm to 8pm, sunset natural style + evening city style.

It’s a wonderful day, nice sunset, not as cold at it was always in San Francisco.

Congratulations, Mai & Khanh. And thanks Mai for your great reviews and referring so many of your friends to me. Hope to see you two in their weddings next year. I am excited about that.

I met Perish in buring man. I was impressed by their makeup and styles. They were impressed by the camera that I use in burning man and my lighting setup. Since we were all impressed by each other, let’s shoot.

We had a 15 minutes photo-shooting session. Only 15 minutes. But the photos came out great. I love thme. It’s unique and cool. Different from the common engagement session. I sent the link to Perish, and he loves the photos too. And he is going to visit Bay area again, and we plan to shoot another session.

 Perish, see you soon.

Burning Man: Let’s Dance

Filed under Burning Man • Written by admin @ 9:46 pm

One thing about Burning Man is that: People never sleep at night

The music is loud for the whole night. But I can still sleep really well just because I was too excited and too tired during the daytime for photos and meeting people. And I wake up really early: 6 AM to catch the sunrise.

It’s the third day of Burning man. I tried my best to wake up early, and I made it. I rode my back toward the Camp 2 PM. Burning use different time on clock to locate different camping site. I can hear the noisy disc music, so I rode that way, sounds really exciting. And when I got there, it was. So many people were dancing there. I can’t believe it is 6 AM in the morning. Did they wake up as early as I do? Or did they just dance from night endlessly? The DJ is awesome. The music completely waked me up like a strong cuppucino.

Burning Man: Sexy Camel

Filed under Burning Man • Written by admin @ 9:51 pm

It’s my first time to Burning Man. Although excited, still a little bit disappointed at the art show this year. All the big disply just cannot compare with last year. Most old burners felt disappointed as well.

This camel is one of my favorite display of 2008. It’s hold up by 2 people, so it can move around. It attracted so much attention, includding this little baby. One of my own favorite shot for my 2008 burning man:

It doesn’t look like in a real world, does it?

It’s pretty tall when it stands up:

Oh, it turned mad on me:

Wanna bite me? Run..
