Many people ask me if I made these photos with Photoshop. You can definitely use photoshop to do that, but there is a much easier and interesting way to do that: PhotoFunia: http://www.photofunia.com/

Just 2 single steps:

1. select an effect

2. browse and select your photo

The effects is using the new face detection technology. Cool. Try it out and have fun.

Wedding: Derrick & Raquel

Just a few photos for preview first, more photos are coming for them later.

Bridal dressing part: At Hilton Santa Clara.

Raquel’s whole family came here for her wedding from Brazil. How nice!!!!!

Raquel’s Baby:

Derrick looks so serious in this shot, that’s not common for him:

Derrick’s groom’s men are so interesting, they made me laugh a lot in the wedding day. I love these guys, they made the whole wedding full of happiness and joys.

“Dude, only one wedding is enough!!!!!!!!!”

Raquel, I can tell how happy your parents are that day:

One portrait for you from the back:

 Ceremony Time:

 That moment, it touches:

 I saw the joys.

 Party Time:

Derrick and his Mom. I can see tears in Derrick’s eyes again.

Merry Christmas to Kaycee’s family

Filed under Family Portraits • Written by admin @ 8:29 pm

Haha, I received a Christmas family photo session inquiry today. It reminds me :” Christmas is coming soon”. This also reminds me the Christmas photo shooting I did for Kaycee’s family last year. It’s a 2 hour photo session in San Francisco city, with Golden Gate in the background. We had a great time together. And thanks Vicky for all the help on lighting. Kaycee was asking about you last time when I IM with her on Yahoo.

We met up in front of Kaycee’s house and head out together. Kaycee’s twins are just too adorable:

Thanks Kaycee for showing me this lovely beach. It’s my first time here. I didn’t realize that there is such a lovely beach and park in the city. A lot of people are walking dogs there on the early Saturday morning. I like this place and would love to come back to shoot another session again

I love this big dog and his name “Bully”. If you see how Bully play with these twin sisters, you can obviously agree with his name.

“Mom, look at Bully. Good Boy!!!!”

“Mom, it’s my turn”

When they were playing the sand, Kaycee and Peter can take a break:

Ok, let’s do some family group photo. Believe, it’s hard. Need to be quick, the two princess have very short attention spam.

But I think this one looks good:

Besides the challenge of the twins, it’s also hard to get “Bully” listen to me, well:

Halloween Costume Showoff

Filed under Personal • Written by admin @ 8:34 pm

For some reason, I didn’t prepare any costume and any party for halloween in 2007. I don’t remember what I was busy for last year. Maybe photoshooting, or maybe spend time with my family last yar. So this year, I am in the mood to have a halloween costume.

It’s still short of preparation time. Julia and I spent about 3 hours shopping for costume before the Halloween party and we got a Pirate look. But we are just too clean to be pirates.

One shot for Julia in Miranda’s makeup store in San Jose. Good lighting, isn’t it?

When Julia’s sister saw this photo, she commented this way:” Hey sister, why you dress like that? Are you a showgirl?” Hahaha, I can sense the jealous.

A few evening shots:

And her UGLY (no, lovely) look:

Julia took this shot for me. She always thinks she can be my second shooter when I am shooting a wedding. Now, when I saw this shot, I think she can.

My friends ask where was my hat. Yes, I put it away just want to showoff my hair-style. I spent 20 minutes on the hair to put it up. So forget about the hat.

We had a great Halloween night. Looking forward to the next year.
