It’s our first Valentine’s day together. Weather report said it will be the only day without rainning in the long weekend. So we decide to go out to Carmel. Carmel is a peaceful town I really like. I asked David&Lily to join us, but they wanna spend the day for house cleanning. So again, we are going to do some self-portraits with Camera on the tripod. It’s a little bit cold on the beach, but people were all excited about the sunset view.

For this one, I convert it to B&W, and push it really aggressively in photoshop to make the sky look dramatic, but it also lost a lot of details in the highlight part. Anyway, just test a different color style:

We were really exhausted after so many jumps. But also nice to find this bakery store and get a warm coffee there.

Again, Julia’s standard funny face:

This morning when I opened my email box, there is an award notice email. I thought it was like a lottery win junk email, but when I opened it. I realize it is a true award from weddingwire.com. And here is the email script:
“Dear Danny,
Congratulations! You have been chosen to receive a 2009 Bride’s Choice Award! This award recognizes vendors from the WeddingWire Network who demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility.
Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride’s Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds through surveys and reviews. That means your past clients have spoken on your behalf and chosen you for this honor!
With this honor you will receive the 2009 Bride’s Choice Awards badge to place on your website and blog. ”
I am sure there will be lots of photographers getting this award, but I still would like to thank weddingwire for this award. It did encouraged me a lot. The year 2008 is my first year in wedding photography business and it’s great success. Now with this award, I need to work harder for the year 2009. And I would like to thank all the brides and grooms who trusted and supported me.
