April 25: Kristy & Grant Wedding (Preview)

Filed under Weddings • Written by admin @ 1:45 pm

This is one of the sweetest ceremony that we have been to. I was really touched at the ceremony, and so happy for this sweet couple. I still remember our first meeting with Kristy and Grant, at the high school classroom where Grant teachs. It really brought our memory back to the school time. And when Grant told us:”We decided to hire you two as our wedding photographer”, the feeling is just like my school teacher told me” Danny, you have successfully passed the mid-term”.

The reception for these two teachers was just completely exciting and crazy, which shocked us so much. We can’t believe these are high school teachers. They had damn much more energy than even high shcool students. This is such a unique wedding, and this sweet couple complete deserve such a beautiful wedding.

Let me pick a few photos for a photo-preview:

We have been waiting for Susan & Gary’s big day for a long time. After the engagement photo session with them, we have been looking forward to seeing their big day. It’s a long day starting from 9AM to 10pm but it is perfectly organized that we didn’t feel exhausted at all. We had an amazing time at the wedding and so happy to see their lovely dragon bolters. I will blog about that later, but let’s preview a few photos of the wedding. And wish them a sweet honeymoon in Hawaii.

The love bolt: Megan & Paul’s Wedding on March 28th,2009

Megan & Paul’s wedding was the day before our Hawaii trip. It’s such an exciting wedding full of fun and energy. When I was working on the photos this week, I can’t keep laughing out loud when I review these photos. I have to blog this amazingly beautiful wedding and this lovely couple. I can feel the sweetness and love even look at their photos.

The wedding was at the beautiful Morgan Hill Heights on top of the hill. And Megan definitely picked the best timing. It’s so green and nice (Most of time it will be yellow). Megan, absolutely good pick. From the rehearsal time, I can tell it will be an amazing wedding.

We started the coverage from lunch time. First we got to the hotel to cover the groom’s getting ready. When we got there, they are definitely not ready yet. You know guys, in such a hot day. All of them were sitting by the pool with beers. But that’s nice, why getting ready picture need to be people in dressing? We like the moment of relaxing before the big day. Look at the flower girl, she was in the middle of air:

All the groom’s men were sitting by the pool. Did you guys plan ahead to wear such colorful shirt before dressing up? This make the photos turn out great:

Then we got to the ceremony site to cover the bride’s getting ready. There is big room for the girls. It has to be such a big room for all the girls. And it’s noisy, always.

Megan, has anyone told you that you look like Marilyn Monroe? I do have the feeling when I shoot photos:

Alyssa’s secret weapon to make boob bigger: Red socks

Party time before the ceremony:

And at the mean time, guys are already ready at the ceremony site:

The lovely flower girl:

You need a Starwar to make him walk for you:

Let’s celebrate Mr. and Mrs Bolt:

Bridal party time: It’s a big wedding party 5+5. We were excited about the big wedding party but we were also so exhausted after shooting the big wedding party. It just so difficult to organize these excited girls. And in september, we will have a bigger one: 10+10.

The reception site is right next to the ceremony site, with the amazing view. I love this wedding venue so much:

Alyssa, I was also touched by your toast. I can feel the love between you and your sister:

The wedding rings: (but I want the strawberry more than the rings:-)

Are you guys so scared about cutting the cake:

Who is the lucky girl?

Before the end of amazing night, we had a short evening portrait at the ceremony site:

We love you: Mr. and Mrs Bolt. I will copy Paul’s funny face next time

April 11th: Cindy & Tony’s Afterday TTD @ San Francisco

After the exciting wedding day, it follows the after-day portrait session for Cindy & Tony. At the rehearsal, Tony told me that all the wedding party are going to attend the after-day photo shooting. “Wow, that’s going to be big group. Fine, we like big group, more fun” But when we waked up during lunch time, I got Tony’s call:”Danny, we are so tired, can we put off to later time today, just Cindy & I are going to make it”. I can image how exhausted they are, so do we. When we got to their beautiful loft on Montgomery St, Tony already dressed up and looks sharp. The after-day session is very unique and interesting, we shoot 1 hour at their beautiful loft with ocean view, then we did a fun trash the dress part on the beach. It’s cold and windy on the beach, but Cindy is amazingly brave and did such a nice job, she is absolutely talented. We will update this post when we finished editing photos but just previwe a few candid shots for our dinner at an Italian Restaurant

April 10th: Cindy & Tony’s wedding at Chrystal Spring Glof Club, Burlingame, CA

It’s Cindy & Tony’s big day today. I was worried about the weather last night because it was raining yesterday for the whole day and the rehearsal was hold indoor. But what is amazing: it turns out to be such a beautiful day, sunny and clear sky with white clouds, although a little bit windy. Both ceremony and reception are at Crystal Spring Golf Club in Burlingame, right off HWY280, by the lake and green mountain. And the wedding cordinator Lindsay is super nice and helpful, she arranged everything in order.

2 days together with Cindy & Tony gave us lots of sweet memories and let us know a little bit about this new couple. Cindy is a super smart and talented girl. And she made most of the decorations by herself. Tony is such a sensitive and honest guy, even when the bridal walked down the aisle, tears came out of his eyes. And I am shocked by how much friends of him flied all over the world for his wedding.

Their first dance is the most amazing first dance that I have ever seen in so many weddings that I have been to. When I told Tony:”Man, this dance rocks” He said:”No kidding, dude, 10 classes, 10 classes” Well, it absolutely works out. I will show some photos later. I am a littled bit exhausted after 2 days photo-shooting for their wedding and after day, but still full of excitement and can’t help leaving some words on my blog. Just randomly pick 2 photos for a preview:
