It’s my first time to attend Fanime Conference. This year, it’s in San Jose Convention Center. I want to have a chance to shoot these amazing cosplay fans for a long time. So when my friend told me on facebook that Fanime is on this weekend, I was excited to drive there to take a look. I am shocked by so many attendence there and I am amazed by all types of creative costumes. But I only have 1 hour to take some fun shots, because it’s lakers game that night.
Here are some nice young “couples” I met in Fanime. Very nice meeting Keien and Lilith there. When I saw Keien dressed in a butler costume and Lilith dressed as Chi, I asked them to model for a few shots. And I love this set of images:
Here is for Bunny and her friends, you both did an amazing job too:

Hope to see you all again in next year’s FanimeCon.
Today I received Megan & Paul’s great review for us. Thanks Megan and Paul, you too are really sweet. We are so touched by your review.
Here is the review from Megan:
“Danny did our wedding 3-28-09 and if there’s one thing people are talking about the most ( other than how good I looked of course ) ..is our pictures! He captured moments that i didn’t even know were going on. He was so excited and so easy to work with it was amazing!
I had just been in a wedding early in the month and the photographer was completely in everyones face..eugh hate that. He was able to get every romantic, funny, happy picture without it being uncomfortable. My husband cannot smile on command to save his life…he was able to capture him genuinely laughing and smiling without the “hurry up and take the picture” face. I cant do that lol
Honestly he worked with our budget, he wanted to come to our rehearsal to scope out the place, and he delivered the most amazing photos on the best day of my life..no complaints and i will recommend him to any and every person who’ll listen! :)”
And Megan & Paul, here is the slideshow that we just learned and created, it’s for you. And let me know if you like the music that I pick, and if you have another song that you prefer, let me know and I will switch the music:

4 weeks ago, we had a very unique and fun engagement photo session for Anabela & John, at Anderson Lake, Morganhill, where John proposed to Anabela. Here is a slideshow for this session, take a look. I like the music picked by Anabela.
It’s a very simple but well organized wedding reception for Wen Hsin and Xiao Liang at the Ranch Golf Club in San Jose. 2 years ago, Xiao Ming, Xiao Liang’s elder brother, got married at the same place. We can feel how excited are their parents to see 2 of their children got married one by one at the same place. And next time, it will be DaZhi, the youngest son of their 3 sons.
The Ranch golf club is a very beautiful wedding venue on top of hill and has the birdeye view of the whole san jose. Both Xiao Ming and Xiao Liang came here very often to play glof and they are great friends with Kristy, general manager of this site. We did a few wedding portraits before guests came in.
After the reception started, and when guest started enjoying the delicious banquet, we came out for about 10 minutes to catch the sunset time, and did a bridal party session. Although they don’t have any bridemaids and groomsmen, they do have lots of close friends who really helped them out for the reception. We’d like to thank Jessie and Stefane, helped their guest sign in. And their friends Karen coming from Shanghai, China to attend this wedding reception. And it seems everyone had some fun during this 10 minutes portrait session:
The banquet room of the ranch is not big, but just perfect size for a reception about 150-200 people. Very cozy and elegant, we like the warm color of the banquet room.
And the evening view in the balcony is amazing
The above photos are just some random pick for you guys to sneak peek, I will come back to update the blog later.
2 weeks ago, when we visited the Dunsmuir House, the ceremony site, it was raining. And Linda was worried about the weather. But it turned out to be a sunny and hot day on their wedding day, and it’s such a beautiful day for Dunsmuir House with all the green trees and grassland. Thanks Linda for sharing their wedding website with us, and let us know a little bit about their story. Linda & Xiang went to the same high school but didn’t become friends until after graduation. Though they went to different colleges, they made every effort to talk to each other on phone or online. After 4 years colleges, they went to different graduate school. Although the long distance was a challenge that they had to overcome, they still saw each other regularly to keep the relationship strong. And now, these two loving persons are ready to start their new chapter of life and their noble journey together!
I am sure that every friend of Linda & Xiang are so excited about today, to witness and celebrate their big day. They have been waiting for this moment for a long time. Linda & Xiang’s story is exactly like a Chinese saying:”有情人终成眷属”. I can’t find better words to describe it and I don’t know how to translate that into English.
