June 27th: Rosa & Chris Engagement Photo Session

Filed under Engagements Tags: — • Written by admin @ 9:47 pm

We shot Rosa & Chris’s engagement photo session in San Francisco this weekend, although their wedding will be in March 28th, 2010. Let me put some photos on blog first, as Rosa & Chris already can’t wait to see the photos. And I have to say that they are so natural in front of the camera and so photogenic, and make this photo session such easy and full of fun. All the photos are almost candid and I don’t have to ask them to pose too much. Let’s take a look:

Jamie, thanks for picking the slideshow music, I like this song. Take a look:

About a month ago, we covered Jamie & Tibor’s beautiful wedding. Now let’s share some photos and review the big day again:

June 14th: Jin & Vincent’s Wedding @ Los Verdes Golf Course in Los Angeles

Time goes by really fast. We can’t believe that Jin’s wedding day in L.A is coming. We haven’t met Jin & Vincent until the day before their wedding day. Jin & Vincent live in Salt Lake city in Utah, we live in San Francisco Bay area, their wedding is Los Angeles. And everything is planned remotely, thanks internet that let Jin find us and thanks for Jin’s trust on us and book us even without meeting each other. From the early phone consultation to email communication, we can easily tell that Jin is such an easy going person and a good planner. We finally met Jin & Vincent at their rehearsal on Saturday in the beautiful Los Verdes Golf Course.

Before I post the wedding day photos, here are the amazing vendors that we worked together for Jin & Vincent’s Wedding day:

Ceremony Site: Los Verdes Golf Course

Ceremony Site manager:  Kathryn Stephenson

Wedding planner: Sharon Querubin

DJ: Allen Layton: Allen Layton

We started to cover the getting ready session at 1:00 PM at Terranea Palos Verdes Resort. Jin’s wedding gown is just gorgeous:

And I really like the pink color theme:

We did the bridal party photos before the ceremony. We got a lot of attention and “Congratulations” when the whole party walking down to the beach:

The ceremony started around 4pm:

Congratulations: Mr. and Mrs Fu

Here we would like to thank the wedding coordinator Sharon for helping organizing guests for the group photo session. She did such an amazing job that make this group pictures session so smooth and efficient. Sharon, we really appeciate that.

A group picture for all the cousins: You guys rock

After that, Kathryn drove us with the club car to the signature spot of Los Verdes Golf Course for a wedding portrait session:

It’s really beautiful after the sunset before it’s dark, we have to grab them out for a few shots:

We brought this beautiful center piece back to hotel room and it smells good. Thanks Sherry

It’s already 11pm when we took this shot. What a beautiful day. It’s a long day for us, and for Jin & Vincent as well. We have to thank Vincent for being so patient for the whole day for photos. Not every groom can be so patient for photos like that. That really shows his respect and love to his wife: Jin. Jin really made a good choice, we can tell just from the photo experience. And Jin will have another wedding reception in China in July. I made this slideshow for you, hope that will be helpful. The background music is your first dance song: Open Arms by Journey:

June 7th: Maggie & David Engagement and Pre-wedding portrait session

Filed under Engagements • Written by admin @ 1:10 pm

It’s Maggie and David’s Pre-wedding portrait session. We met up around 5pm in San Francisco and took a city tour. Thanks for Maggie’s Mom coming to help us out. It’s a photo session full of fun. We really love Maggie and David’s personality, they are making jokes of each other all the time and can’t stop. Let’s take a sneak peek of some photos we have, I will upload more when finish editing:

Pink VS Yellow: Just can’t be more lovely

You can tell that they had a lot of fun, so did I. From this shot, my but was completely wet:

A lot of my customers like jump shots. Maggie and David love that too. And so far, they are the highest jumper I have ever seen:

And I think they were so excited that couldn’t calm down for any serious photo until maggie put on the wedding gown. Since then, they were able to get into the mood for some romantic and peaceful shots:

When we got back to Palace of fine art, it’s almost 10pm. The evening view there is gorgeous, and we think Maggie’s red evening dress matches it perfectly:

Updates: here is the slideshow for this engagement + wedding portrait session:

June 6th: Melissa’s Graduation Party (Sneak Peek)

Thanks for Melissa and Sharon bringing us to the family party to celebrate Melissa’s graduation. It’s such a special experience for us. Our first meeting with Melissa and Sharon was at Santana Row, where they told us their plan to have a portrait session for Melissa, a family group photo session and dinner afterward. We were very excited about this special project. For us, it’s a completely different experience from wedding coverage.

One week before the party, we visited Forbes Mill, the restaurant for their dinner party in downtown Los Gatos and explored some photo spots there, just as we did for wedding rehearsal.

The photo session started from 2PM at Melissa’s beautiful house, we really like the backyard with lots of green trees:

The Mom and Daughter are just like 2 sisters, both of them like smiles a lots:

Then we went to downtown Saratoga for a portrait session for Melissa. This is my first time doing senior portrait. Thanks to Melissa being so easy to work with and so natural in front of the camera. We really love these portraits:

We were able to get to Memorial Park on time. And when we got there, most of family members are already there. It’s a great group photo session and thanks to the perfect weather. The whole background is so beautiful that it does’t look like a real park.

Melissa and her lovely twin cousins from Ohio. Melissa’s uncle brought the whole family from Ohio to Bay area to attend Melissa’s graduation family, that’s so sweet.

The dinner recption started from 6:30pm, so during the cocktail time, we did a few portraits in downtown Los Gatos:

The dinner was at Forbes Mill Steakhouse, Melissa’s favorite restaurant. Their Pear Googonzola salad and filet mignon are gorgeous, and we will come back again for sure.

After the dinner, we had a few evening portrait shots in downtown Los Gatos:

Thanks Melissa for giving us such a special experience and wonderful day. We had a lot of fun and all your family members are so nice. We really enjoyed being with them. We end up more than 1000 photos for the day and hopefully the 2 DVDs of all the images will reach you by Wednesday. You may have a hard time picking your favorite photos. We will meet you up again after your tirp to florida disneyland. Have fun there.  And I will update this blog post after editing more photos.
