Sorry for posting this sneak peek so late. Although they have already got all the images, I still hope to blog about this wedding, which is really a unique wedding that I have covered. It’s my first time to cover a real wedding in the far East Coast. Thanks Chuanzi & Jianjia for flying me such a long way and booking the best hotel of the town for me. It’s my first time to cover a wedding on universtiy campus for young PHD student couple. It’s my first time to cover a wedding that none of the parents can make it because of the visa issues, but they have about 50 guests coming from all over the county, most of them were their college classmates from China but union together in the US to celebrate their classmate’s big day. Chuanzi & Jianjia are college school mates from USTC (University of Science and Technology of China), they fell in love in the third year of college, and both came to US for PHD degrees. Chuanzi is in Virginia, and Jianjia is in Wisconsin Madison. The 2 years long distance is a challenge. But they successfully keep their chemistry and stepped into the next stage of their life. That’s why all their formal USTC classmates drove from such a long way here to witness this moment, some from Boston, some from Chicago, some from Washington D.C. Well, I am from San Francisco. I am very honored and lucky to be their wedding photographer, and to build friendship with all these lovely students.
When I first heard the wedding is in Virginia Tech, to be honest, I was a little bit scared. But when I received Jianjia’s hand written letter, my sixth sense told me that this is a wedding that I shouldn’t miss. When I got to the beautiful virginia campus, it was such a big, green campus located in a peaceful town, blacksburg. Weather is very similar to bay area, very cool at evening time. And it has very nice and long daytime. Sunset was not unitl 9:00PM. They showed me around the beautiful campus after the rehearsal at of school church. And Chuanzi, Jianjia, the best man and maid of honor were decorating the reception site until 5:00AM, they almost didn’t sleep before the wedding day. Everything was hand made and planned by Chuanzi, such a great job and effort. Chuanzi can definitely be a wedding planner after her big day.
Let’s sneak peek some photos first, I will post the slideshow when they have picked their favorite photos:

Chuanzi & Jianjia, hope you can have chance to visit San Francisco in your vocation, you are very welcome to stay at our small but cozy house, I will show you around the beautiful San Francisco as well. I am sure that we will see you again.
It’s the engagement photo session for my college (Shanghai International Studies University) schoolmates Tao & Jo. And they are visiting San Francisco this week from Washtington D.C. I haven’t seen Tao for about 6 years and I am so excited that we can meet in San Francisco. And what’s interesting is that although Tao & Jo both are my college schoolmates, they didn’t know each other in Shanghai until they met in Washington D.C. What a small world and what a wonderful world!!! Tao looks almost the same unless gain some weight, and I still can see his smiles constantly on his face like before.
This engagement photo session is almost like a day tour in bay area. And we have so many things to chat about during the photo session. The food stands in front of our living area in college, former schoolmates, etc. We had a lot of fun. We ended up dinner and tea chat until 2:00AM. And I couldn’t wake up the following day.
Let’s sneak peek a few shots first. Tao & Jo, I am so happy and honored to be your tour guide and photographer. Let’s hang out for dinner this week again before you guys head back D.C.

Thanks Nithya & Dee for flying us to Seattle to cover their engagement photo session. Nithya & Dee will have their big wedding ceremony in India in Novemenber and another wedding reception in San Jose the Ranch Golf Club on Jan 2nd, 2010 and we will be their wedding reception photographer. We were so excited and looking forward to this trip for a long time. Julia has been to Seattle before, but it’s my first time travel to Seattle, the green and beautiful city. My impression of Seattle always stays with the movie “Sleepless in Seattle”, a city full of romance and rains.
We caught an early morning plane to Seattle. Driving in seattle is full of excitement and “wow~~~”. We were amazed by the beautiful green trees along the road and bridges over the sea. It’s a super hot day for Seattle and after we checked in hotel, we slept a whole afternoon. Good thing about Seattle in Summer is that it almost never gets dark. The engagement photo session started from Gas Work Park, and we had another session at Pike Place Market. Nithya & Dee are really easy to work with and we really had a great time together. And thanks them for showing us the most beautiful places in Seattle, the city that we love a lot.
Let’s first sneak peek some shots, I will come back to updates when we finish all the editing.

It’s Sinyi & Marco’s wedding in the long weekend. And this is the longest wedding that we have covered in 2009 so far (from 8:30AM to 10:00PM). The wedding day started from 8:30AM for a tea ceremony in the bride’s room at CordeValle resort and another tea ceremony during lunch time at Groom’s home, followed by a ceremony at 5:00pm and dinner reception afterward. When we got back home around 11:00PM, we were so exhausted but still very excited about the photos. Thanks Kristi, the wedding co-ordinator for CordeValle Resort. She has been always so helpful and nice. Let’s sneak peek some photos.
